- There is only one inning. This shortens the game and gives the second half a little different flavor than the first.
- There are multiple ways to score. There is a lot of variety in the number of points given with a corresponding change in the relative risk. It was interesting to see how the playing style changed as the game progressed.
- The game is much faster paced.

Cricket!
For about three hours today I was a serious cricket fan! I watched the exciting IPL (India Premier League) final with Padmini and rooted for the eventual winners, the Chennai Super Kings. Comparing it to baseball I noticed three distinct advantages:
